Hitmen rally for perfect prelims.

Pre Draft Showcase started back in 1989. It our 35 year anniversary this year.

FOXBORO – The Hitmen (Navy) clinched the top spot in their Jr. A division bracket at the 2025 Pre Draft Showcase when they closed out their preliminary round slate of games with a 7-2 victory over the South Shore Kings (Gold) on Saturday evening at the Foxboro Sports Center.

If the game were only one half long, the Hitmen would not have been as fortunate in their quest for preliminary perfection. While they may have won the game, the Kings won the first half, closing the opening 25 minutes with a 2-0 advantage on goals by Alexander Kharinov and Ty Carroll. (Carroll’s score coming on the power play.)

A second half was played, however, and during that frame the Hitmen offense came alive. They scored seven times to rally past their foes, all the while keeping them off the scoresheet, cruising to the 7-2 victory.

It was an offensive attack for the Hitmen that went across the board, the team seeing 13 of its skaters credited with at least a point in the win. Garrett Church (1G, 2A) was chief among them with a game-high three points. Teammates Ty Oller (2G) and Evan Arnold (2A) also had multiple points for the Hitmen.

Goaltender Drew Karlovits was credited with his second win of the Pre Draft in the Hitmen net.
