West contains Wild.

FOXBORO – It has been two up and two down for Canada West Cream thus far at the 2018 Pre-Draft Showcase. Their most recent tournament victory coming by virtue of a 5-1 decision over the Iowa Wild in Jr. A division play on Saturday morning at the Foxboro Sports Center.

After posting two scores in the first for a cushion heading into the second, Canada West put up a strong start to the game’s later half, doubling up their advantage within six minutes. Nash Smith with the first of his two in the half at 2:50 and Adam Krofchalk with his second of the tournament at 5:56 made it 4-0. A near insurmountable advantage over their foe.

Iowa stemmed the tide with a Nicholas Privitera goal at 11:10 to cut the deficit to 4-1, but Smith was back on the score sheet just over six minutes later at 17:16 to seal the Wild’s fate and make it 5-1.

The Wild still have a chance to conclude their tournament showing strong as they take on Coast 2 Coast PD on Saturday evening at the Canton Ice House.
