FOXBORO – The preliminary round of the 2025 Pre Draft Showcase came to an end on Saturday evening. Its conclusion punctuated with a 3-1 Boston Jr. Terriers win over Prestige Hockey Placement (Black) in Jr. A Elite division play at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Boston came out swinging to set the tone for the game, netting a pair in the game’s opening three minutes of play. Liam Schaentzler and Owen Debrody each credited with a goal for the Terriers, while netminder Logan McGuire got the start and kept Prestige off the board for a 2-0 Boston advantage at the half.
Ayzek Waldron increased the Terriers’ lead to three with his third goal of the tournament at 9:08 of the second.
Oliver Lapointe broke up McGuire’s shutout and got Prestige on the scoreboard. The goal, however, came with less than a minute remaining in regulation, not enough time for a Prestige comeback. The game ended 3-1.
The win earned the Terriers a perfect 3-0-0 preliminary round record and solidified their spot in Sunday’s tournament playoffs.
