CANTON – Future Pro’s Waterfield secured the win to close out their preliminary Jr. A Elite schedule on Saturday morning. They defeated Goats Select Black 5-3 at the Canton Ice House.
Waterfield came out hard in the first to run up a 3-0 halftime lead. Pierre Larocque, Ryan Spinale and Damon Jugnauth did the scoring, while Luke Romney stood fast in the Future Pro’s net to keep the Goats off the board.
The Goats did not go away, however, recording three of their own in the second. Goals came from David Hauptvogel, Matthew Lee and Ryan Stratton. There was no comeback victory in store, though, as the Waterfield offense did not go away either.
Ryan Franks netted both his game-high two goals in the second to secure the 5-3 win for Future Pro’s.
