FOXBORO – As the opening day of play at the 2023 Pre-Draft Showcase neared its conclusion, the GBL Bruins defeated Hawkeye Hockey Services 3-1 Friday evening at the Foxboro Sports Center.
The game’s scoring damage did not come until the second half as Bruins netminder Mason Rosado and Hawkeye counterpart Daniel Antal thwarted every attempt sent their direction in the game’s opening 25 minutes.
Offense awoke out of the intermission, the Bruins getting the better of things as they bested Antal three times in the frame. Goals credited to James Hooley, Jack Turowsky and Liam Martin.
Lucca Weinkauf was responsible for the lone Hawkeye’s tally, while Hooley and Martin each added an assist to their goal to finish as the game’s multipoint scorers.
