FOXBORO – The second day of preliminary round play at the 2025 Pre Draft Showcase got underway Saturday morning. It kicked off with a South Shore Kings (Green) win, as they defeated CWE 6-0 in Jr. A Division play at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Not only did the game start early, but so did the Kings’ offense. They rung up three goals in the first on scores credited to Stephen Fabiano, Quinn Pine and John King.
Those three goals would have been enough as Eddie Gatch locked down the Kings’ net – earning his third win and first shutout of the tournament in the process – but that did not stop South Shore in netting another three scores in the second half too close out the 6-0 victory.
Fabiano (2G) added a second goal in the second, but it was Will Cavanaugh (2G, 1A) who went down as the game’s leading scorer with three points.
Pine (1G, 1A) added an assist to his first half goal to also finish with a multi-point showing, as did Eddie Hannan (2A), who finished with two assists.
