Wranglers rope Rebels, 4-2.

Pre Draft Showcase started back in 1989. It our 35 year anniversary this year.

ATTLEBORO – The Wranglers and RI Rebels met on Saturday afternoon for a College division matchup at the 35th annual Pre Draft Showcase. The Wranglers came away from the New England Sports Village with a 4-2 win.

It was a quiet scoresheet through one as neither goaltender yielded through the game’s opening stage. The Wranglers Christopher Finger and Rebel goaltender Colin Murrary each pitching a first half shutout.

Finger and Murrary were not as fortunate in the second, however, as the opposing offenses began to break through. The Wranglers got to Murrary early to go up by two, before the Rebels rallied to tie it at two apiece in the half middle stages.

It was not until the closing minutes the Wranglers were able to pull away. Jacob Dubrey netted the go-ahead goal with just under 1:30 to play in the contest. Nolan Burlingame sealed the 4-2 victory with an empty net goal with just 0:20 remaining on the game clock.
