BRAINTREE – The Worcester Railers remained perfect in Jr. A division play at the 2026 Pre-Draft Showcase on Saturday morning. They pushed their record to a perfect 3-0-0 following a second half offensive explosion that fueled an 8-1 win over the Valley Jr. Warriors.
It was manageable through one for Valley as they trailed just 2-0 at halftime. Worcester got goals in the first from Carson Hayes and Matt Anderson.
When the teams returned for the second half, however, it was a much different story. Valley did get on the scoresheet as well on a Nikolai Kakasenko goal, but the Railers scored early and often in the latter frame to run away with the victory.
Six times the victors lit the lamp in the second for the 8-1 win. All eight goals came from a different skater for Worcester. Only Hayes finished the game with multiple points, credited with a goal and an assist.
Netminder Mike Roof was credited with his third win of the tournament in the Worcester goal cage.
