Nordiques Futures rally for win over Militia Cream

Overcome four-goal deficit in victory.

CANTON – In the early hours of Saturday morning at the Canton SportsPlex, the NE Nordiques Futures caught East Coast Militia Cream still sleeping off Friday night. The Nordiques coming back from a sizeable second half deficit for a 5-4 win to start the final day of opening round play at the 2015 New England Pro-Am Pre-Draft Showcase.

Shutout in the first half and trailing 3-0 to start the second, things got even worse for the Nordiques as the Militia furthered their lead to 4-0 on Chandler Mancovsky’s second of the game at 4:21. Yet, when all seemed lost was when the Nordiques turned it on.

Robbie Holyoke started the comeback rally at 9:42, cutting the deficit to 4-1. Holyoke bookended a four-goal swing in 10:30 for the Nordiques that saw the score get back to even, 4-4, along with goals from John Elworthy and Michael Namon.

And if losing the four-goal lead was not bad enough, the final dagger for the Militia came with just one second left on the clock, Holyoke completing his hat trick, credited with the game-winning goal at 24:59.
