CANTON – Team Kanaly got their tournament schedule started in dramatic fashion Friday afternoon, as a second half rally keyed a 5-2 victory over MGH White at the Canton Sportsplex.
It was a sour start for Kanaly as they fell behind early. Just 24-seconds in, Jake Zaniville gave MHG their first lead of the day. Kanaly tied it up on a Guy Roby tally at 9:31 of the first half, but MHG went to the locker room with a 2-1 lead after Jason Tackett put away his first of the tournament at 20:10.
In the second half, Kanaly took advantage of a fresh goaltender as Zach Laramie took over for Brendan Cytulik in the MHG net. Roby, Dean Zerby, Stas Khokhlov and Connor England all found their way onto the score sheet in the half.
Daniil Gerasimov backstopped the victory for Kanaly.
