FOXBORO – The Hitmen (Navy) posted a comfortable victory in their start to the 2025 Pre Draft Showcase as they defeated Reider Hockey 7-1 on Friday morning in Jr. A division play.
Little time was wasted by the Hitmen getting on the board, Jacob Baratta putting away the game’s first goal just 1:23 after the opening faceoff. It was the first of two goals in the frame for Baratta, and the first of four in the frame for the Hitmen. Colin Norton (shorthanded) and Garrett Church also each credited with a first half goal.
Reider cut into their 4-0 deficit with a Jacob Chow goal near the midpoint of the second, but it was all the offense they were able to get past Hitmen netminder James Tarabocchia in the contest.
While Tarabocchia locked things down on the defensive end, Baratta completed the hat trick, Norton added a second and Aiden Forcier was credited with one to round out the 7-1 victory.
